Well written with a lot of emotion. Beautiful use of the Alaskan wilderness in the plot. I just kept waiting for something to HAPPEN. It felt like the story was leading towards a plot climax, but it never did.

A sweet and enjoyable read that makes me want to see the beauty of Alaska, but didn’t pack the emotional punch I was looking for in the end. Still very magical.

Some slow and fast paced parts of the book. The book gave me chill-paced low profile fantasy vibes. It was enjoyable and an easy read and one that I wanted to really take the time to savour.

I was surprised at how much I really enjoyed this book. Not my usual type of read. I don’t normally read books with strong themes of infertility. And the Alaskan backdrop didn’t call to me. The writing however was haunting beautiful. The love between Jack and Mabel just hurts my heart 💜 I was so invested in the story and so scared about the ending lol I was expecting it to be so sad but it was actually more sweet than bitter.

It was well written, with good characters. But at the same time it was very sad, and still leaves you with a ton of questions.

This was a wonderful book. I was surprised by how much I loved it even more as it went on. Emotional, being in a new place, dealing with grief, the hope of magic and a new life. Overall it's wonderful. I don't have a great reason to not give it 5 stars, maybe because I don't want to shout it from the mountains that it should be required reading for everyone, but I really don't have any criticisms. It turns out to be quite a beautiful story in the end. The author does a wonderful job describing the Alaskan wilderness and the beauty of nature. You hope and wish for all these characters' happiness and peace. Magical and mysterious and overall a wonderful lovely joy.
