A fun summer read. Best part was that my son picked this out for my birthday :) ♡

I liked this book and think I will carry on with the series to see where the story goes.
We meet 3 friends and this book is about how they cope with all the things that life throws at them. How their friendship sees them through, how they are there whenever they are needed and the fact that they look out for each other.

Quick breezy read. Just right for a weekend escape.

A great friendship read without a ton of romantic subplots, can't wait for book #2!

An easy breezy series set in a beachside town in the LA area. Three friends - three different ages, three different backgrounds so there's someone for every reader to identify with. The 50 year old stay at home wife of a successful business owner adjusting to life as an empty nester. The 40 year old CFO who realized she didn't make time to marry and have kids. The 30 year old mother of 1, pilates studio owner who has a husband with a quarter life crisis.

I can see reading another one to see what happens to the characters.

Mallory is one of the queens of women's fiction, and the reason why is obvious in this novel. Pam, Shannon and Nicole are friends, each with their own joys and challenges. Their stories alternate as we see how they cope with different challenges; aging, family, loveless marriage and more. A good beach read.

Fast read. enjoyed it for the summer. Many things resinated with me. It's why I gave it 4 stars.

What I read: The Girls of Mischief Bay by Susan Mallery

Why I picked it up: I was ready to read #2 in this series and then I realized it was the second … and I had the first in my recent haul of books from the library.

How I read it: On hardback while on an adventure away with a friend.

What it’s about: Three women have become friends through their Pilates studio. Pam has been married for 30 years and she’s feeling pretty frumpy so she looks for a way to bring the magic back to their marriage. Nicole became the primary breadwinner when her husband announced he quit his job to write a screenplay and will maybe quit her too. Shannon has been doing the career thing and she’s amazing at her job which she loves, but is it enough?

What I liked: I really loved these three women. They were unlikely friends, but complimented each other really well. I’m glad I’ve got book #2 at the ready to dig right in.

What I disliked: I wanted more of Shannon and Adam, especially after the situation with Char’s birthday.

Genre: Friendship, marriage, grief, closed door.

Rating & Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and definitely.
