I almost stopped reading this book after about 30 pages.  It appeared to be another "poor little rich kids" book set in New York.  However, I continued and ended up with a book with a different take on the same old story.  I applaud the author's direction with the book, but there were enough dull moments that I can't give this book four stars.

A light hearted easy read. At times it felt like a reality tv show with a happier ending.

On a cawpile scale:
1-characters: realistic, deep, devoloped. 8
2-Atmospere: I loved having a peak at the upper class newyorkers. 9
3-writing: It was funny and literary 8
4-plot: not much plot but there were moments where I gasped at some reveals and events were hard for me to expect or see coming. 8.5
5-intrigue: it started okay but the part before the middle draged a little and I asked myself why should I care, but then it picked up alright. 7
6- logic: I think the maral lesson here was clear as day and eyeopening. 8
7- Etertainment: it was fun and I didn’t have to finish the book just for the sake of finishing it. 8.5

The book was largely character-driven with little plot outside of their interpersonal drama.  Luckily, all the characters had strong, distinct personalities and their inability (or refusal) to see each others' points of view felt realistic rather than frustrating.

It was hard to care much about some of the rich people problems and drama that seemed to matter to the characters, but it became a little easier to read as more of their complexities were developed.

Overall, it was a fine, generally lighthearted read about family and wealth with little in the way of plot.
