This series is still good, but the terrible editing is really getting to me!

Wisdom is the 4th book in the My Blood Approves series. Let me start off by saying that I really liked this book. It would have gotten a much better rating from me if there weren't so many spelling errors. It really annoyed me. But, on the brighter side, this book was really good. I really like the characters in the story. I still can't decide if I'm for Peter or Jack. I suppose I'm torn, they both seem really swoon worthy. Okay, I think I'm leaning toward Peter for some reason.

Alice has many obstacles to tackle in this installment. She finally develops into a more confident person and speaks her mind (which I really like). Without spilling the beans, I'm going to have to stop here. I would totally recommend this series as long as you can bypass the spelling errors. It kept me captivated and the storyline is great!

Like many of the the other reviewers, I picked up this series originally because of the cheap ebook download price, as well as the good Amazon reviews. For a quick read, I enjoyed it alot. I found it to be largely formulaic for this type of genre, but that personally doesn't bother me much. What I did enjoy was Hocking purposefully joking at the way other authors create their own vampire characteristics and back-history. (Alice laughs and makes a reference to TrueBlood, implying that Charlaine Harris didn't quite get it right.)

But I'm really getting more interested in the new craze of self-publishing straight to digital format. On one hand, all 4 books in this series are currently in the top 25 edownloads on Amazon, making her one of the bestselling authors of this genre. On the other hand, she didn't have an editor (I could be wrong) and as such, her works are pocked with typeos and mistakes.

Regardless, I read for narrative, and this series, with Wisdom in particular, made for a good story.

This was a good ending to the 'My Blood Approves' series - it was cool to see the characters develop throughout the four books. My only dislike was the main character Alice really started being a brat. She definitely seemed pretty spoiled and was almost annoying at times. I would recommend this series for a light read - enjoyable.

Overall I found this series entertaining. Something good must have kept me reading, right? However, I did find some of the plots disjointed throughout all the books. Another problem for me was the Alice/Jack relationship. I just could never believe in there relationship or wanted to. I found Peter's character much more compelling and felt his character should have been better developed. I wanted more Peter. And up until the end I kept hoping for a different ending concerning the love triangle. But even with its flaws I did enjoy reading these books.

Finally finished this one because we lost power and so I had no other distractions. I really enjoyed it and there was lots of action at the end.

I liked this one a lot. Alice wasn't as whiny (Jack was). She was pretty badass actually. For some reason I still really want her to be with Peter. He just seems like a better fit for her. Maybe cause they balance each other more.

(spoiler)

It really made me mad when Jack broke up with her. I think he was immature about the whole thing.
