Familiar story with great illustrations, although the ending was certainly unexpected. I saw a children's play for this book at my local library before I actually read it and it did not end the same way. Umm...yea. I preferred the play with its cute, little manipulatives and happy-go-lucky ending. It was more appropriate for younger kids. This version might be better suited to older youngsters.

This was adorable. I loved the updated ideas and the new and more realistic and funny responses to each odd thing she eats. I remember having silly conversations about why she was eating this stuff, how unrealistic it was and what her tummy would look like!

And this gives us all that. A great addition to the original!

The whole concept is gross and she dies.
