This book has money books within it that all tell a different story about something scary. All of the book within this book are very cool with my favorite being the one about the long shadows or the hachishakusama.

These stories offered me a great, nostalgic trip down memory lane! Inspired by my own childhood favorite, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, most of these stories offered the same sensibilities. Many of these legitimately terrified me, and I read a lot of horror. There is something about horror written for children that is more ominous and unsettling than most adult horror in my opinion-minus violence and adult themes all you’re left with is terror.
I enjoyed almost all of these, but these are my standouts:
The Knock Knock Man
The Neighbor
Brain Spiders
Pretty Girls Make Graves
Whistle Past the Graveyard

Skipped most of "Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board" for OCD reasons, but overall some solid spooks and good watercolor illustrations. A worthy tribute to Scary Stories, in my opinion.

3.5/5…It’s fine. A bit uneven, as is to be expected.

Some were hit and miss. Definitely fun stories, don't get me wrong. But I didn't enjoy all of them. I love the cover and it's a really great anthology to add to any horror lovers collection. Just wasn't the best for me.

I really wanted to give this book a higher review, I could even give it a 3.5. I think I might have enjoyed it more if I'd read this as a story a day versus multiple stories in one sitting. There were definitely better stories than others. Overall a fun read that I would still recommend.
