The Praise: Reborn was really well-written and I enjoyed that it was split into 3 parts. Isabel and Tristan’s complicated relationship was really interesting and I liked seeing Tristan soften over time. I also liked that you could never really tell who to trust, it kept me on the edge of my seat.

The Critique:
I didn’t love the Halo storyline. It felt out of character for Isabel to suddenly leave without waiting for Tristan, even if she did want to give him an out. Especially when she refuses to let him leave her not long after.

Final Thoughts: I enjoyed Reborn a lot. Between the romance, the action, and the drama, it kept me glued to the page.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book. I loved reading Tristan and Isabel’s story. These are two people who were in live 6 years ago before things went downhill. Tristan joins the army while Isabel goes to school. She gets her heart broken and moves to Rio to try and get past her feelings for him. Tristan is a hired hit man who is going after his next target which just happens to be Isabel. He doesn’t know who she is and change for the both of them when she sees him and calls out his name. Meredith is an amazing author and I can’t wait to start part four and see what happens next with these two.

This is a fast paced book about an assassin and his target - until he realizes that his target is calling out his name in a display of passion. However, Tristan "Red" does not remember Isabel Foster. The story is based on finding out who ordered the hit on Isabel and why.
There is a lot of passion in this book as well as a bit of danger.
If you like a story that has romance, passion, and danger -- and one that continues on and on, you will definitely enjoy this. Reborn is Books 1-3 of the Red Ledger, and there are many more to come!

Thanks to Meredith Wild for a copy to read and give my honest opinion.

This author was one of the author's I tried to go to after Fifty Shades and her series didn't really do anything for me but this series is a huge improvement.

Tristan Red... has no memory other than nightmares of his previous life before he became an assassin for hire, when he stumbles on Isabel Foster. A paid hit, who knows him and his past. So his choice is to finish the job and kill the one person who knows him, or take her and run.

What did I like? The plot thickens when his choice is to kill her or to take her and run. He doesn't remember her but his body still hesitates when he has to go through these motions which is just super fun. The chemistry was there for Isabel but for some reason I'm never really feeling heat from this author.

Would I buy this book? After the Hard series was such a disappointment for me I guarantee I would have passed this book over. I will definitely start looking at her books again since this one was great.

My thoughts for the author? I'm super happy that I was picked to review this book. I was hesitant but you've proved yourself worthy after this fun read. I know as a reader I'm never going to love every book an author puts out but you have redeemed yourself! Kudos...to you.

I loved the action parts of this book. When I first picked it up, I did not realize that there would be so much of a romance aspect to the series. That will teach me to pay attention when I read a synopsis!

Overall, this was well written and the story draws you in a la the Bourne series, but with more passionate love scenes. I will admit that I skimmed through many of them or just read a few sentences. I look forward to reading more about the intrigue and what shenanigans this pair gets up to in the future, but I could do without all the fluff.

This a great vacation read and it reads very quickly. If you are looking for something fun, but not overly complex, then this book is for you.
