Spoilers! 

Umm I don’t understand why more people didn’t have a problem with this. 
Idk about you but kidnapping and sexual harassment don’t really put me in the holiday spirit. This is VERY dubious consent and I’m not okay with it. Nor does this have any place in a YA series. Feeling disappointed and quite uncomfortable. :(

What the actual hell was this?
I've always enjoyed Scarlett and Julian more than Tella and Legend, but this is on another level.
Just because it's your boyfriend doesn't mean that the whole
"you said that you didn't give permission for him to touch you and he says you don't have the right to say that and kept touching you"
okay. It was goddamn SA and it disgustes me that few people are seeing these.
Anyways the reason I put so many stars are for the illustrations and the like two chapters that had Scarlett and Julian.

TW: assault, sexual assault, dubious consent/non-consent, kidnapping, drugging, gaslighting. 

This made me feel uncomfortable. It was not romantic. This should absolutely not be advertised as YA. Also, I greatly dislike Legend. The artwork was beautiful, however. This Novella was not worth the read. I do not recommend it.

Illustrations are gorgeous but a couple are quite suggestive for a young adult book. I liked the premise the author was going for but thought is was poorly executed and wished the plot went in a different direction.

did not like that reader does not know legend is Tella’s kidnapper and takes advantage of her. I think the author was trying to clue his identity but also confuse the reader so it’s a plot twist. But for a young adult book I don’t think it’s a positive relationship example for young readers

Fast paced, felt a bit like a cash grab. Cute little fluff holiday read, but I really loved the Caraval series and this felt like it was forced with too little story development. Illustrations were nice but also threw me off what little storyline there was.

This was a fun, cute and magical holiday story! I seriously cannot get enough of this world and these characters!
