This is Frieda Klein novel 2.
You must read the books in order, they make no sense otherwise.
A compliated case with complex characters and their complex feelings. It's a captivating story but I'm not sure I could even start to give you a synopsis, save to say Frieda Klein is drawn into helping the police again with her unorthodox methods of caring just a little too much.
Yet again it is winter, but the body count is twice as high as in the first case, and rather spookily, Dean Reeve is still around, watching her. Why that woman is still walking the deserted streets of London at night is utterly beyond me. It is good she has a network of friends around her, Karlsson, Reuben, Josef, Chloe etc.
This book keeps your attention throughout, even when it hops between characters and you need a minute to figure out whose POV it is.
I can't wait to read the others, but they need to be read in order and my library is not playing ball!

This second book in the Frieda Klein series felt a little more ‘commercial’ to me. It had more clichés and seemed to follow the tropes of the genre a little more closely. It was still interesting, though, and I enjoyed it and stayed up too late reading it. Although I did guess who did it long before it was revealed. I will be reading the next one soon.
Graphic: Violence and Murder
