Carey Duncan has worked for Melissa and Rusty Tripp for nearly almost a decade doing remodelling and design. Carey is a country girl at heart, she worked in their first store when she was just sixteen and she helped them build this empire. The Tripps new show and book about to launch they are on the verge of superstardom. There's one teeny tiny problem: they can not stand each other.
James McCann, MIT graduate and an engineering genius, he was originally hired as a structural engineer but that is not what he is doing at all. His last straw; James and Carey must go on a book tour with the Tripps and make sure everything goes perfectly.
Neither of them are in a position to quit right now Carey needs health insurance and James is promised the role of a lifetime if he can just stick it out for a couple of more weeks. While on the roadtrip James and Carey band together to and keep their bosses secrets hidden and their jobs secure.
Rounding this book up to a 3.5.
I enjoyed this book, at first I thought someone died throughout the entire book I though someone died until we got to the end of the story and then it all came together. I didn't really feel a connection with this book or with the characters either. These assistants did everything and got no recognition until someone finally spoke out. Melissa also seemed to be power hungry throughout the entirety of the book. I do have other more favourite Christina Lauren books that I have read. Recently some of these book have been a hit or miss mostly hit's I think but this one was a miss for me, I just did not really connect with the character that were in this book. I do appreciate the effort that these author's put into these books because writing books takes time and the amount of writing slumps that they go through when writing the books. I don't have much else to say about this book. Some people will enjoy this book and some people will not just depends on the person. Happy Reading!!!!

Liked but didn’t love - colleagues to loves - wish there was more focus on the main couple rather than the secondary couple they both work for. Felt very surface level at some point. Did like the writing style.

The Honey-Don’t List isn’t going to the top of my Christina Lauren favorites list, but it was an enjoyable enough book with characters I could relate to and plenty of awkward moments and laughs to enjoy along the way. This book is based around the two assistants of an HGTV-style renovation show couple, who are sent on a book tour with their bosses to keep the peace as tensions escalate in the relationship.
I really enjoyed the development of the main relationship over the course of book, and at the same time, I was majorly cringing over some of the antics that other characters pulled throughout the story. All in all, I loved Carey and James’s relationship development and the journey to get there.
