For the last 6 months Eric has felt lost not only has he lost motivation for his job and has been plagued by disturbing dreams, now with his job gone he heads off to Saint's Grove for some peaceful camping but yeah thats not how its going to roll as then the unbelievable happens monsters and creatures only found in stories and movies are in town causing havoc as well as the white haired lady who has also haunted his dreams. Now it is up to Eric and Tirvu to find a missing moonstone, not get killed by Demons, Vampires then save Tirvu's realm along with so much more!

Meet Eric Thomas, promising computer programmer who has been plagued by nightmares about a woman, dragons and war for the last 6 months. When he consequentially loses his job he decides a change of scenery would do him good. Onwards to Saint's Grove!
During a immensely rare astrological event the seams of the universe open and the little quant town is overrun with vampires, demons, angels and pretty much everything supernatural. While trying to stay alive he meets Tirvu, the woman from his nightmares. She has crossed into his reality to find a missing artefact from her people, the Moonstone. Demons stole it from her people during the last Event, bringing war to her world, as the Guardians of the Forest and those of the Sky blamed each other for the loss. Tirvu however knows the truth and she enlists the help of Eric to find it before the seam closes again.
Will they find the Moonstone in time? Will Eric come to terms about who he really is? Will Tirvu and Eric rekindle the passion from centuries past? Soooo many questions...
My take on the book:
World-building was great, taking part on this day and time on Earth most of the story and some in Tirvu's reality. Environments and scenes were detailed, clear and made for easy reading.
Character building was good. We got to know both characters well. I think I would have liked to have known a tad more about Tirvu though. About how it was before the war and during.
Pacing and flow were good. A good mix of action and conversations/revelations. Conversations were a bit awkward though here and there which resulted me not being able to fully enjoy the book.
The book in itself was well written (apart from some awkward conversations as stated before) and I found no (noticeable) errors. There is no sex in this book, though the characters were in several scenes working towards it, so keep this in mind if it is important to you.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and all in all the plot and writing were good, but unfortunately I just couldn't get into it :( which is a real shame since I love dragons! I am, however, looking forward to reading more about the little town Saint's Grove, its a cauldron on all things supernatural. Bound to be good!!
