The final installment in the Uzumaki/Spiral trilogy. The wierdness continues, but goes into full force, so rather than incidents on individuals, it's the whole town that sucked into the craziness. Aid workers come in to the area to try and help, but then find themselves trapped, for there is no way out of town. Paths and roads seem to go in circles and take you back where you started, tunnels out of town never end, and whirlpools eat up anything that tries to escape via the sea. Macabre imagination, and some great artwork, with a bizarre but aptly fitting end to the story and the mystery of the spirals.

This has just beaten Saga(comic) and took the first place of the most disturbing book I've ever read. This is just so gross and so horrifying . I am somehow so in love with these creepy artworks. Although I don't quite get why these phenomenons happen, I still love it because that's the point, right? There's nothing to be understood, and I'm just here to be entertained and creeped out lol. My most favorite chapter is chapter 6 "Medusa", you know "the hair". I freaking love that chapter; the artwork was so beautifully creepy (do these words even go together?). And the chapter that almost make me throw up is probably chapter 11. Ugh; So grotesque. And Chapter 7, Jack in The Box? Ugh man I always hate that. Freaking Creepy!!!
After reading this, I'm now afraid of snails, butterflies, babies, long curly hair, holes, whirlpool, waves, storm, etc. Bruh! It was truly horrifying. Junji Ito's mind? Brilliant! how could anyone think like that?
I just wanna say that I'm very entertained, and I'm just hoping I'm not having a nightmare tonight! Also, Can't wait to read Tomie and other works by Ito!

ngl I was a little disappointed in this one.
Like honestly these people were dumb, the second that kid turned into a sail... Im gone. Why did they refuse to leave the town? Lit lost their house and job, people died in the town and they were infected AND YOU WANT TO STAY THERE. cap. my frustration with them made me not enjoy it.
The second the little brother was in danger. and she did nothing! nope. i could never.
anyways, still creepy, i just felt like the character's motivations were completely inexistent and zuichi... 0 energy.
