4 out of 5 stars.
This book was interesting.
The majority of the cases written about have been covered by Buzzfeed Unsolved so I spent the majority of my time reading it with Ryan Bergara's narrator voice in my head which made it very entertaining.
It does make me wonder whether the women who wrote the book are associated with Buzzfeed at all because they even covered the Shark Arm case which only aired recently...
I don't know. They did provide some aspects of information Buzzfeed Unsolved didn't in some of the cases and visa versa.
I give this book a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It was easy to read (more in style than content obviously, there are 3/4 separate stories involving the deaths of kids so trigger warning of you decide to pick this up yourself), the graphic design work was interesting and overall it was interesting.

A variety of unsolved murder cases, explained in brief with photographs and diagrams are presented. The book tends slightly to the sensational but avoids being overly exploitative. There were a handful of cases I hadn’t heard of but more were very well known murders. A fun, quick read for those of us who enjoy true crime.

I wanted to read this book after reading a review and interview in Crime Monthly which is a UK magazine about the true crime. I was intrigued after the interview and love a good unsolved crime. Just a disclaimer before you read the below – I hope that all of these killers are found and when I say I found a case interesting; I’m not prompting the killer or anything, I just mean that these were the ones I learn more about.
There are twenty unsolved murders in this book from 1912 to 2010. Some of these cases are well known worldwide from the Zodiac Killer to the Black Dahlia. However, some of these were interesting to read about as I had no idea about. I found these interesting and it was an easy read. It is a non-fiction, adult crime novel. The cases I really enjoyed reading about was the Tupac Shakur case, the Murder of JonBenét Ramsey, and the Jill Dando case. This is because I knew the main concept of these cases, but it was really fascinating to learn more about the big cases.
The only weakness in my opinion was the earlier cases because it was obviously in 1912, they were quite difficult to get through, but I found them to be an easy read but did found that I enjoyed reading the ones in latter half of the book. I would say from the Zodiac Killer was when I was hooked.
I really liked this book and would recommend it to any true crime fans. I think Amber and Emily did a wonderful job with these cases and gives you more of an insider on the case. I would like to see maybe an updated version in 10 years to see if there has been any development with these cases.

I finally finished this book!
It is a collection of unsolved murders, phenomenally researched with great graphics. And while I really enjoyed the heck out of it, this book is more for people who are just starting to get into true crime. A lot of the cases are familiar to me and therefore nothing new was added. Like I said it's a beautiful book, well-written, researched. One thing I do take away from reading all these cases compiled all together like this is the large number of people who are wrongfully accused and imprisoned. It's incredible.
I do wish that some modern cases would have been added, like Rebecca Zahau or Garrett Phillips. In all honesty, I wouldn't have included The Black Dahlia, The Zodiac or JonBenet which have been done to death. But some of the most interesting ones that are included:
The Hinterkaifeck Murders
The Villisca Ax Murders
The Cleveland Torso Killer
The Lake Bodom Murders
The Oakland County Child Killer
The Murder of Kathleen Peterson
The Long Island Serial Killer
That being said it is a great addition to your true crime library.
