The heroine knows how to fight demons because she grew up in a capitalist society, and her weapons include multi-level marketing schemes and scam churches. Judging by the comments, this confused a lot of readers, but I thought it was a hoot! How many romances have economics as a subplot? OK, nearly all of them at some level, but how many have explicit economic concepts beyond needing to find a husband to survive?
