Confronterend verhaal over de onverschilligheid van de mensheid. Het thema is zeer actueel en het boek drukt je wel met de neus op de feiten. Prachtig hoe Claudel de afstandelijkheid op verschillende manier weet over te brengen. En dan ook nog met wat zwarte humor. Hoewel ik het boek net iets te moralistisch vond, is het een fantastisch boek.

Premier livre que je lis de cet auteur et j'ai bien aimé. Entre thriller/policier classique et allégorie/fable sociale ce roman ose une approche différente et surtout présente des réflexions sociales riches et profondes. L'écriture est également à la hauteur. Une plume précise, vive et stylisée qui n'en fait pas trop, juste assez. Un roman qui, par ses multiples aspects, pourraient plaire à un public divers et varié. Une lecture brève, un 230 pages qui se lit en quelques heures à peine, et qui vaut amplement le temps qu'elle nécessite. Je recommande!
