I've always found that when Geronimo's family goes behind his back under the guise of helping him to be incredibly frustrating. Even as a kid, this concept just hurt me. Sure, it works out in the end but how often can someone be lied to, put in dangerous situations, and be used by their family before it does more harm than good.
Regardless, it is a funny way to show that an over-abundance of fear can be counteracted with some assistance and bravery (and waking up with a cold shower?).

The perfect book to show middle grade kids that it is possible to face your fears. Geronimo Stilton is a great author for kids.

Hai firmato, Stilton!

While crossing the Calatrava Bridge, my father kept repeating "Balaclava Calatrava" and I couldn't remember where the citation came from. Then, finally, the epiphany: as a child I had an old audio cassette with this audiobook and I used to listen to it over and over.

I decided to repeat the experience once again and I realized how many expressions from this book are used in my family, even nowadays.

It was a nice dive into the past, which brought back buried memories and a couple of smiles.

Even though I’m not in the target age bracket I’d always wanted to read one of these. The word art is captivating and I love the maps that are used to tell the location side of the story. I’m glad I read it and would have loved it even more if I was in Primary School.

Storia carina e divertente.

Geronimo is afraid of almost everything. This one is about trying to cure him of his fears. He family sets him up to go on a trip which actually turns out to be a survival course. He has to survive an entire week in the jungle along with four other mice and his course guide. In the end, he realizes he isn't afraid anymore.
