I really love studio ghibli movies, so ,naturally, I love reading about them. Kiki's delivery service is one of my favorited. The Art of ... books give you insights on the characters and of the making of the movie.

All four sections of this book were a treat to read. The story, the artwork and sketches, the animation techniques, and the entire(!) screenplay—an excellent book for artists, animators, and people who love Studio Ghibli and Kiki’s Delivery Service.

This book contains a brief page or two about how Kiki's Delivery Service came to be as well as talks about the original children's book series it is based on.
Most of the book is concept sketches, line art and cel art. There is a brief portion in the back of the book that explains the camera angels and techniques that Studio Ghibli employed in the making of this film, but otherwise, it is mostly art illustrating the difference from concept to conception in the making of the film.
If you really enjoy this film, you may like this book, but it is nothing spectacular (as far as writing on content is concerned). A lot of people complain that there are too many cel art panels in this book and they were hoping for more concept sketches. I personally think that illustrating the difference from concept to finished film is important because it lets the reader know how much actually changed along the way and serves a purpose.
