I received an ARC from Ben and Laura so thank you for that !

I usually really like romance and I enjoy reading mxm books but I think this one wasn’t for me.

I DNF it at 58% because I didn’t get attached to the characters. I felt like it was a lot of smutty scenes and the plot wasn’t so interesting for me. I specifically didn’t like the dom/sub undertones and the fact that Nikos has the upper hand in the relationship.

I understand the trauma and struggle of Nikos but he said some shady things to Oli and then bought him expensive clothes and fucked him as an excuse which isn’t really healthy…

I like the character of Oli at first, felt sorry for him when Geoffrey cheated on him but since he met Nikos I felt like he’s just obsessed with him and that’s all.

God knows I tried making it through this book but honestly I picked it up as a second read when my main book got too heavy and even then it was not cutting it.

There's a lot I could bring up but my main grip is the fact that this gay man who works for an author and is forced to see the same romance movie more than three times - a movie based on the book saga he's obsessed with by the way - and he cannot recognize the main actor after being right next to him for an entire night??? Please.
Also the fact that this book was written by two people is wild to me. Was it one writing each POV? I don't get it, it felt like both characters existed in different stories and fucking is the only thing that connected them. I never got love from them and by the time they were travelling to Greece is when I decided to stop,

I don't care about what happens to either of them and there's better books out there for me to read.
