Too many characters to keep up with. Makes it confusing at times

I am addicted to Daniel Silva books in which Gabiel Allon, the former head of the Israeli spy network, always saves the day. I love the books b/c the good guys always win but b/c they expose evil doings that are actually going on in our world and explain them in a way that I can understand. This book exposes the type of corruption that was show to the world in the Panama Papers. The rich get richer, they pay no taxes through elaborate "semi-legal" means. The UK commonwealth is shown to be a totally corrupt large piece of the puzzle. As far as the story, I would give it a 4, but it is a basic great beach read. Wonderful to listen to b/c the reader is fantastic. If you want to start this series, it is best to start w/ book #1 so you get to know the characters.

I've only read a couple of the Allon series, which is why I still find his jet setting poshness entertaining.
