After reading "The List" and loving it, i got super excited when i found that not book two was coming (soon), but also that it would be about the put-together Lisa and someone that would for sure turn her world upside down.
And mine too, mind you. 💗
I guess my weakness for #BadBoys is showing.
Dax did it so.freaking.well.
Both he and Lisa were great surprises, but Dax won a very special place in my heart. 😍
Five stars are not enough to rate this book. I need AT LEAST two more.
I lost count of how many highlights I made.
This one was so much fun!
Lisa and Dex's story has everything: love, second chances and oh so naughty bits. And I mean ALL the naughty bits.
😈
Please Tawna Fenske tell me Sarah will have a book and a boo of her own.
I think it's just fair.
Plus, I would get another #BookBoyfriend out of it too. Win-Win.
Oh, and let us not forget Paul. He deserves a lady in his life too.
Maybe a two-for-one kind of thing.
Paul...Sarah... See what I did there?
Wink. Wink. Nudge. Nudge. Say no more.
Please let us meet this gang of fun and awesome peeps again....
P.S.: thank you for Dax Kensington. Again. Hawwwwwt. 😈

Forced to rethink her life at the most inopportune of times, Lisa discovers that success does not always breed happiness. The Test is one woman's quest to sync her mind and heart to all the possibilities. Sometimes, the road less traveled is the path where we're meant to be. Ms. Fenske delights with true to life characters who are easy to empathetize with and hard not to fall for. There's a piece of every reader in her clueless characters and heartwarming stories.

After reading the list I could not wait to read this one and what a fun read it was. Dax and Lisa were such good characters and so hot together Dax is struggling with feeling worthy after his childhood and I just loved how she could relax and just be herself around him we all need people like that.I enjoyed this it was a great book and so much fun

Do you really know yourself? Or does it take someone else to help you TRULY know who you are?
Lisa is all prim and proper. She's fancy brunches and designers duds. You know: Sugar and spice and everything nice. Lisa is used to doing things the same way she's always done them. She's used to the nicer things in life and never thought twice about it. Then her fiance' leaves her at the alter and she's stumped as to what to do next.
Dax is danger and tattoos and all things bad boy. They meet at a bar where Lisa propositions Dax for a one night stand. Dax, having gone over to her table just to show up his "ex" who happened to look vaguely similar to Lisa, decides "Why not." When Lisa gives him another proposition: Help me do everything different than I have ever done before, Dax is game. But what happens when the game is over? And can they play by the rules? Or are some rules meant to be broken?
There are so many times when we find ourselves doing something the same way every time. Because that's "just how it's done." But when we challenge ourselves, we find out so much more than we ever expected.
Y'all I freaking LOVED this book!! I read The List by Tawna Fenske and it was witty and sexy and funny and real. When I heard she was doing a second book in the series, I truly didn't know who she could do a story on. Then I heard it was Lisa (sister to the heroine in The List) and I got really excited. There's the typical Tawna wit and sexiness, but there's nothing "typical" about the story.
I'll say my favorite scene actually comes about in the beginning, when Dax sits and Lisa's table and Lisa tries to pick him up. The banter is genuine. The characters are realistic and funny. And the tone is sexy, setting up the whole book for a fun ride.
If you are a die-hard Tawna Fenske fan, you will THOROUGHLY enjoy this book. And if you've never read Tawna, this is a great stand-alone/part-of-a-series book to start with. You don't have to have read The List to understand or enjoy this book.

Another amazing read by Tawna! This is officially my fav book to date by this talented & hilarious author! Love, love, love that it is written in 1st person POV-you really get into the character’s heads that way! Loved Lisa, she’s the epitome of a “Girl Boss’ she has her shit together & is living the dream. Until she falls from the sky;) She has to wonder…..is this really all she wants in life…the perfect job/wardrobe/house/man? Then Dax enters the picture, and holy hell does it heat up! He is everything she never wanted, but maybe that is what she needs;) The chemistry is amazing! Certain parts I was grinning like a fool, soooo blushing at the sexual tension & conversations. Their banter, OMG the witty dialogue….I can’t even, lol! Tawna has such a knack for writing real/fresh/hilarious characters, it’s my fav thing about her books! Allllllllll the secondary characters are just EVERYTHING, seriously I want to be their friend (Lisa's sarcastic sisters;). So basically, read this….like now!

This was an enjoyable story. That had me engaged throughout. As it was sweet, easy to read and angst free. Not to mention there were a few fun moments and some hot ones too.
As for the characters I liked them both. Although it took me a while to warm up to Lisa if I'm honest. Yet I thought they worked well together and certainly shared some chemistry. And I liked the whole idea of opposites attracting. Which in this case they definitely did.
And certainly the story had enough about it to hold my interest. Plus, I never once felt like I was missing out having not read The List, the first book in the series. And so I'd happily recommend this story to others.

Dax is just what Lisa needs...
This book is written in Dax and Lisa's alternating POV and can be read as a standalone. I know Lisa's personality was starting to change after her fiancee left her, but having read the first book I didn't really think this one showed how bad she was. I love the lightness that Junie brings to the series and seeing Cassie and Simon a bit in this book as well. While this book did have some steam and a bit of humor, I didn't feel the connection with Dax and Lisa. There were times I almost felt that this book was too high class for me and I wasn't able to follow. This is an author I really enjoy but sadly, this book just wasn't right for me.

The Test is the best book by Tawna Fenske and my new favorite book overall. It’s funny, sassy, and sexy!
Although it’s the second in the series, it stands alone just fine.
The character development is amazing! I love how the story jumps right in. There are so many laugh out loud and awkward snickering moments (that apparently make people around you uncomfortable). This is a read for sunny days, cold nights, and vacations. I cannot wait for more!
