I'm actually pleasantly surprised by this read, I mean it's obviously going to be harem. Cover aside, it's pretty clear in the beginning of the book when multiple wives is mentioned as normal to the protagonist and he gets a little to excited over that fact.

And, let's be real, harem litrpg doesn't have the best reputation and I got to say this one was actually pretty decent. Mind, the harem part hasn't actually become a thing in book 1 but the writing was decent.

I have two complaints really, one of them a little petty where when the protagonist is explaining bras to his otherworldly girlfriend he says they're to make your breasts perky. Which, okay, maybe realistic boob jiggling isn't what the intended readerbase wants and I'll give the author the props for not once mentioning any boob jiggling while said well endowed girlfriend is running around killing monsters. But realistically, she'd be a lot more excited to get her hands on some proper support for her combat activities instead of just going "oh my breasts are already so firm and perky I don't need this"

The other complaint is that there was a huge deal about how he couldn't tell anyone about the Portal or that he was a Portal Guardian or else he and anyone he told would get killed. He could only tell: his WIVES.

And guess what, he isn't married. Hasn't even thought about it. Yet, suddenly, it's okay as long as he vouches for this woman. Now she can know, and visit earth, it's all okay! I can't tell if this is more of a plot hole or simple One growing soft on the protagonist.

I also don't know if I missed it, but I was under the impression he'd be visiting different planets. And once his time was up he'd be leaving. I was under the impression that once he started banging around he'd need to sit down and be serious and go "Would you give up your family for me?" and then the heroine would never see her parents again. So suddenly him being yanked back to earth and then being told "all cool you're going back and can go back and forth whenever you want NO BIG DEAL!" What was the point of the dedicated half year time limit? And also, since he's going back does that mean we don't get to see different worlds now?

Minor personal complaint is the end reveal about testing dungeons. I was pretty excited when I found out the entire plot was to venture out and journey and see different places. Never stopping anywhere and now I feel like that is taken away. Dungeons, just isn't the same as exploring new lands.

Otherwise, I wished there was more variations in the zones. I don't generally enjoy timeskips, but skipping a few months where he only kills goblins is 100% understandable. But.. that does in a way make it sound like lazy writing. For someone in a new foreign world, there was a distinct lack of actual exploring and seeing new sights. But, with the world being designed the way it is, I think the timeskips felt natural and was well placed.
