WAaaaaay better than The Husband. The end was twistier than I thought it would be. Not sharing enough back story on the 2 characters we were supposed to root for made it hard for me to care about them. Although, in the end, what a backstory!

It's not as good as the Odd Series. But I'm glad I read it.

Felt like a generic thriller with some twists. Never pulled me in, found myself zoning out too often. I the ending was the highlight for me at least.

I enjoyed this book a lot. Fun read with a ruthless villain. Don’t know if I can walk in my house without wondering if a guy like Krait had been there. Liked the main character of Tim - just a guy trying to do the right thing who gets entangled in a murder for hire plot. Easy to read. Thought it fizzled out at the end but all in all a good story.

I don't really care for rambling books. It wasn't horrible, it was good enough I wanted to finish it. But I wouldn't recommend it.

It's a Koontz book... that's about all you can say.

I loved this book. I had never read Koontz before and I was not disappointed. I just couldn't put it down. The protagonist was a genuinely likeable character with a secret, the lady he's protecting is feisty and brave, and the bad guy is genuinely creepy (I mean, if he reads a book and doesn't like the author's ideas, he tracks them down and kills them!).

It ended a little too neatly for my taste (I mean, *of course* Tim and Linda get together!), but it was a very enjoyable book and I would recommend it for anyone who likes suspense thrillers.
