Okay, so I just finished The Amendment by Kiersten Modglin, and wow—this book was a ride! I still liked The Arrangement more, but this was definitely a solid sequel. Let’s break it down:

Plot – 4⭐️
The story picks up right where The Arrangement left off, and things get intense fast. There were some really great twists, and the tension kept me hooked. Some parts were a little predictable, but overall, it was still super entertaining. I just think the first book had a little more shock factor.

Characters – 4.5⭐️
Ainsley and Peter are such a wild couple, and I loved how their relationship kept me guessing. Ainsley, in particular, was really interesting in this one. Some of the side characters could’ve had more development, but honestly, I was here for the psychological drama between the two main characters.

Atmosphere – 4.25⭐️
This book had such a creepy, unsettling vibe that I really enjoyed. The tension was always there, even in quieter moments. Modglin does a great job making everything feel just a little off, which kept me on edge. But again, I think The Arrangement felt even more intense.

Ending – 4⭐️
The ending was good, but it didn’t hit quite as hard as the first book’s crazy twist. It was still satisfying, though, and wrapped things up in a way that made sense. I just wish it had left me completely speechless like The Arrangement did.

Final Rating – 4.2⭐️
Overall, this was a solid, fast-paced thriller that kept me hooked. If you liked The Arrangement, you’ll definitely enjoy this one too. Just don’t expect it to hit exactly the same way. Still, totally worth reading!

Yikes, this took a turn. The wife in this novel turned a corner in this book, becoming just as violent, if not more violent, than her husband. Sorry, I know we read books where sometimes murder seems "justified" (a la Dexter), but you cannot convince me that an average housewife (like me) would suddenly enjoy killing people for sport. And the end is extremely predictable. Am i going to read the next one? Yes.
