I don't agree with everything he said (I'm not a rapist pirate, for one - sorry) but the key points have very good advice and I found this book helpful.

Not the book I need. I wanted mindfulness without the woo.

I didn’t rate this book because it is meant to be a reflection and, from what I can tell, an introduction to Hanh’s Buddhism. Thoughtful and a wonderful way to begin 2025.

“Nothing can survive without food” is so simple and embodied the deceptive complexity of this legendary thinker and spiritual guide.

Thich Nhat Hanh has beliefs about Buddhism that do not align with my developing beliefs. I tried to push through for the value and lessons. Ultimately, I couldn't get past the references to God and the Kingdom of God.

I gave up this book midway because it isn’t what I was looking for. It was Buddhist theology heavy and I was looking for something more universal. That said, I generally love Thich Nhat Hahn’s books.

I found the concepts in this book to be quite interesting and enjoyed learning about some of the Buddhist beliefs. I am going to try to do more walking meditation and to think more on the continuation of and transformation of being.
