Mixed feelings really. It felt like reading a movie script. I could almost imagine the actors who will play the different roles. I had an overwhelming feeling of reading 'The Davinci Code', especially in the first half of the book, almost the same plot with a historical background. Some how I feel saturated with this type of books. The second half moved to being a fast paced action movie. Some ideas far-fetched. But I loved the way he describes places. Living in Geneva and having seen some places he has described, made me shed a different light altogether on things I see everyday after reading his beautiful description of them.
Also I liked the way he used actual recent events to build the story. It made me relate more to the story.

There was something missing and inconclusive about this story which was annoying. The story was a bit confusing in places and the lack of clarity didn't make for an enjoyable read. The story didn't seem to hold up in places and was illogical. Some books are better read in a single sitting and I think this is one of them. I never read books in a single sitting and thus probably missed something.

Pretty good read.
It's been a while since I've read something so simple and entertaining. Something about solving crimes in the streets of Italy always gets me going. It's my kind of a comfort read.
It took me a while to note all the characters and wrap my head around who is who, but it was still enjoyable even though through the first half of the book I felt like reading about some random dudes scattered all over the world.
