I've loved Carcaptor Sakura since I saw the anime as a child, then rediscovered the original Japanese version of the anime as a teenager. So I have been wanting to read the manga for a long time. I am very pleased to say it did not disappoint. The art, as always from CLAMP, was gorgeous and it was brilliant to have this larger collector's edition to really enjoy it. The characters are wonderfully created, as are each of the cards and it is great to see a bit of the personality that each card has.
This volume is a great introduction to the world and its characters. The world building is done well and the story written in such a way that you want to keep reading to find out what the other Clow cards are and how they are going to affect the world.
I would love to continue reading this series.
