Enjoyable though I did pause it for a while so can’t quite remember the earlier stories. The stories are mainly all individual though some do have shared characters to make the whole book come together. Some very dark and deadpan humour that suited my tastes.

I didn’t go into this expecting anything but absolutely adored it. The characters, and their connections were wonderful. It’s in my top 3 of the year so far

This was a fun special little collection of stories! I really enjoyed it, I thought stylistically it played with structure and what it means to follow the rules.

Definitely reminded me of [b:Life After Life|15790842|Life After Life (Todd Family, #1)|Kate Atkinson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1358173808l/15790842._SY75_.jpg|21443207], so if you read [a:Kate Atkinson|10015|Kate Atkinson|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1363801830p2/10015.jpg]'s other work, look forward to this!

This was such an interesting read. I loved so many of the stories and I really wished some of the stories were longer. I loved finding the little connections between all the stories, but there were some that I really did not care for. I think the reason for this was that they were too confusing at times.

Although it hurts me to one star a Kate Atkinson, I really didn't get on with this at all. I love her writing and there were moments here and there where I would forget that I didn't know what was going on or that the story was weird or creepy. But this is just me, as I have never liked fantasy, dystopia or surrealism. If that's your groove, baby, you may have better luck with these than I did.

Huh. You never quite know what is going on, even at the end. But you *feel* like something is just a little off. Like thr uncanny valley. Or Hitchcock's movie angles. I really enjoyed reading this.
