I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a good job. Borrowed via hoopla. I enjoyed the story.

This is my least favorite one. The MMC is mentioned in books 1-2 but we didn’t meet him until now and I just went in kinda uninterested in learning a newer character so that’s on me. I was excited about the next few but now I need a break. Not loving this one was exhausting. They’re good, this is a me thing. I’ll come back to this series.

Aw I loved this one book 3 in the series and each story still grips me from the start
This time spy’s, lies and twists are mixed in with the attraction between Scarlett and Matt, plus previous book characters are mentioned which is nice to see. Cannot wait to move onto book 4 they just seem to get better and better

Cold Light of Day is third book in Cold Justice series by Toni Anderson and it is just as thrilling as the two before it. I especially enjoy the reoccurring supporting characters and that each book's timeline is set a few weeks from the last one. This book is more thriller than suspense with a fast moving plot, a choice of villians, and a smattering of romance.
I think this is one of the best romantic suspense series out there.

This one was interesting on how Scarlett and Matt met. So many twist and turns.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Spies, espionage, intrigue and of course a couple that will steal your heart! This book has it all and will keep you reading until the very end. Scarlett's father was convicted of a crime she doesn't believe he committed, she will go to all lengths to prove it. Matt is the FBI agent tasked with keeping her safe after Scarlett puts herself up against a dangerous group of people. This book will keep you guessing up until the very end. Is Scarlett's father innocent? Who would want to set him up? Not only is the story exceptional, the chemistry and slow burn between Scarlett and Matt will give you butterflies and have you rooting for them! The heat between them comes off the pages and will have you fanning yourself. This has been my favourite couple so far and I loved this book! Another amazing read by Toni, this series just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait to read Cold Fear!

COLD LIGHT OF DAY marks the 3rd entry in Toni Anderson's Cold Justice series. While the novels are standalone books, timelines and characters do overlap.
Summary
It's been fourteen years since Scarlett Stone's world imploded. Her father, once a highly respected FBI agent, is now disgraced and dying in prison branded the most notorious traitor in the agency's history. But Scarlett knows her father is innocent and she's determined to prove it before it's too late. So when she has a chance to get into the Russian embassy, she goes undercover using a false identity to search for the evidence that might finally clear her father's name.
Former Navy SEAL, now FBI Special Agent, Matt Lazlo, is simply doing his boss a favor by attending the Russian ambassador's Christmas party. But one he's grateful for when he catches sight of Scarlett. Their attraction is instantaneous and mutual but neither one of them is ready for the firestorm that is about engulf them when Matt discovers that Scarlett isn't who he thought.
The FBI—and Matt—aren't thrilled when Scarlett's undercover scheme falls apart and could trigger an international incident. The failure also puts Scarlett's life in danger as the powerful people who put her father in prison are willing to kill to keep their secrets.
Thoughts
COLD LIGHT OF DAY is a stronger book than either of its predecessors in the series. While Scarlett and Matt are the prototypical romance characters, the story is more focused on the action than on the romance although there is plenty of both. There is also a healthy dose of suspense and a neat surprise reveal of the bad guys. The secondary narrative focuses on the terrorists' point of view and largely focuses on the other mother in the novel. One who is willing to kill to protect her children.
Overall
COLD LIGHT OF DAY is a recommend. It's a nice way to spend a day.

This was the perfect fit to this box set.
Not only do we see a fresh new couple and all the things they get in to, to save the one you’re trying to protect. But we get to see some of our old favorites, Alex and Mallory! Yay.
Now FBI Special Agent Matt Lazlo bumps in to a pretty lady literally.
He wants to see more of her. But it wasn’t meant to be… Or was it?
Scarlett Stone is on a mission free her father from all charges before he passes. So she has a plan only the plan doesn’t go as planned.. Does it ever?
I can tell you I will not look at a screw driver the same again lol. That was pretty epic.
This book is full of surprises. You always guessing and wanting to know who? What? And why
I kind of like how bold Scarlett is even when she is scared out of her mind. She goes after what she wants. But Matt is more cautions, you can’t blame him for that but it was nice to see that him give in.
Here is a line I love and can’t get out of my head.
“A rubber stamped goat f*ck”
Yeah I really enjoyed this box set and the narrator. Wow blew me away, I loved his voice and how you just feel a part of the story because of him. Yeah worth the money the credit worth it all
