Love at first sight, even if inconvenient, is delicious!
We come back to the Worthington series with Louisa falling instantly for Gideon, who is a newly appointed Duke.
Louisa is a woman who knows her own mind, knows what she wants and that she will only marry her soul mate. She's so damn fun!
Gideon is an honourable person and thinks himself not worthy of her.
Loved the drama of this story, loved coming back to this wonderfully mixed family!

It was a good read, just like the previous books. But somehow, I connected just a little bit less with the characters. I mean, I like Louisa from the previous books. And her scheming. And especially the way she handles Bentley when he starts fighting Gideon. It was hilarious. But there were some moments that annoyed me a bit. Mostly Gideon's pride getting in the way of things.
Still, I enjoyed the book.

Louisa turned Gideon on his ear. He was floored by her & wound up in the middle of a hurricane called love. Love doesn't always come at a convenient time. Jump at the chance of happiness when it comes along. Also, don't ever underestimate the Worthington\carpenter girls!

Good addition to the series in the family. Unique storyline but featured some annoying side stories that really didn't flesh out to be worthwhile. Decent amount of romance comparable to other books in the series without being overboard or overly graphic.
Could read as standalone, but will make more sense if you've read the previous books in the series as many overlapping couples and family members appear throughout.

Overall, I enjoyed this story though I will admit, these characters aren't my favorite. Gideon, the Duke of Rothwell is incredibly proud and stubborn. He's determined to fix his family's shameful problem on his own with help from no one. His only problem, he falls in love with a young woman equally stubborn and proud and determined she will be a partner to the man she weds.
Lady Louisa Vivers, the sister of the Earl of Worthington isn't a shy and retiring miss to be taken for granted. She knows exactly what she wants and will settle for nothing less. Though she is still kind and doesn't wish to cause anyone pain, she isn't above manipulating things to go in her favor and as it happens, in the favor of others as well.
Louisa and Gideon are fun characters though his attitude did get a bit tedious for me after a while. The first two books were more fun, in my opinion than this one, but it was still nice to revisit the Worthington's and their enormous family.
