A sweet, fun story. I really enjoyed the setup with the so-called monster going all sweet and caring for his human lover. Cupid doesn’t make the best first impression but is swift to do an about-face for Charlie once they get to know each other. Cupid is painted as both a successful warrior and a himbo, and that combination did require a bit of suspension of disbelief. It didn’t bother me too much though because Charlie deserves all the loving, protecting and compliments and Cupid certainly delivers. I liked Charlie a lot; he’s such a genuinely nice guy and has been so hurt. He is still licking his wounds after getting out of an abusive relationship, and his feelings for Cupid take him by surprise—in a good way. There’s some more action-driven, suspenseful scenes as the mystery of Cupid’s missing halo unfolds. I really liked how all of that worked out. The secondary characters are mostly familiar faces, which was quite nice.

I love how far chappie and hotdog have come in this book! I can't wait for axels book with the ghost/invisible monsters I can't wait for hotdog to have his own monster and I want to see what Charlie thinks of the monster world and the dragon!!!

2.5 rounded up. I keep rounding up with this series because I do enjoy it but I’m always left with the feeling that something was missing. In this one it felt like Cupid’s character did a 180 and became a himbo over night. I would have liked to see him still have that warrior huge ego while simping for Charlie. It also went over sexuality too many times and with two many metaphors. I’m all about self exploration and finding what label or if a label even fits but it was done by like three different characters and they were all saying the same thing. Too repetitive for me to care.
Then Ollie and everyone made a huge deal how Charlie should stay away from Cupid but didn’t say anything when they needed up together. Like what.
In all this story felt disconnected from the other ones with no connection to a overall plot point like the previous too and their connections. It was still fun and I loved all the praise.
Pumped for Hotdog/Annie’s story… but I’m really staying around for Ben and Axel’s.

God damn this series is good! So happy I found it and can’t wait for the next ones! Hoping Hopper and Hotdog get together! Love Hotdog so much and I hope Axel gets a book with a ghost or something!

Anyways Cupid being basically an Angel and having 4 arms is wild. And I really love Charlie and I’m honestly so happy he got away from his wife and found himself again. I love how much Cupid adores him, it makes me so happy!!!

3/5 on spice. 4/5 on kink. 1/5 on tears. Mind reading and butt plugs with papi stuff 😈
