Whether or not you are thinking of picking up this graphic novel, do yourself a favour and just do it. The story and its portrayal of pain, grief, morality, society etc. is more real than many of us want to admit and I think that’s an important thing to realize.

I read the special edition of this story and I think the added content just makes it all the more compelling.

This was so aggressively edgy but in the best possible way. Knowing the author’s history adds a really personal and hurt message to the whole thing. The artwork is top notch, wonderful black and white.

The movie has been a favorite since I first saw it in 1993 or 1994. If you're not familiar with it, it's dark as fuck yet uplifting. If anything the graphic novel is darker. Not posting trigger warnings because the whole damn thing is a trigger - there is something to trigger just about anyone.

I didn’t know anything about The Crow except that Brandon Lee was tragically killed on set.  I haven’t seen the movie which is crazy because it seems like something 14 year old me would have been all over.  Now that I’ve read this, I will make plans to finally watch the movie.  Interesting, sad story. Beautiful art.

A reread of the copy I bought at the theatre in 1994 when the film came out
