The start of the book is very tense and intriguing. I had high hopes! But then slowly, the tension and thrill faded into the most mundane crime book I've ever read.
I had to push through every single page, and convince myself to keep going. Maybe something will happen  soon? But it didn't. Again and again. Until the last 8% of the book where everything happened at once.

There is alot of characters, and background story that is not important in any way. This book could easily been 200 pages shorter.

Wow. I can't believe I actually finished it. Not gonna read the next one for now.

Yes, this was looong, and I was fully ready to come on here and say it was too long but damn, the ending made it worth it. While I had my suspicions (and I'm damn proud of them), I really didn't see how it all fit together until the end and that's why it needed to be that long.

I struggled with Vincent as a protagonist, while I of course rooted for him to solve the murder, he honestly just seemed like a bit of a dick in his personal life — sorry. Mina was the one who really made this work for me and I loved reading about her.

A book that dragged at times but ultimately was still a great read!
