This is a memoir about PICU nurse Christie Watson’s career. There are some really moving parts; I cried at one section. I was reading it thinking You can tell this person is not an author by trade, so was surprised to learn that this is the third (I believe) book that Watson has published, the first two being novels. The writing is not advanced, it is simple. The content is of course not simple at all, as the book is littered with technical medical terms that I did not initially understand, which I found very interesting. It was nice to feel that I was learning in both a factual way and an empathetic way. I admire nurses; I think they are brilliant. True heroes.melplays9000's review against another edition

Overall I found this book interesting but not revolutionary. I probably won’t think about it often but I had a good time while I was there. 3 stars.
