I've read quite a few mafia books by this author and this one might have jumped to the top of the list. It's part of a Duet so not all the threads will be tied up at the end of this and if you have triggers please do your research and stay safe. But I'll tell you this, I ate this up. It has twists, it has turns, it has heat it has angst. Prepare to want to dive immediately into book 2. I know I will.

Cold King of New York is the first book in The Accardi Twins Duet. This book is everything I didn't realized I needed!! Joshua is the head of the Accardi Mafia Family. I can't wait for the next book!
Ramona Master, Sarah Puckett, and Noel Harrison did a fantastic job narrating this book.

I was going to give this book 3 stars but ended up bumping it to 4 because it was so refreshing to finally have a strong, badass heroine! I'm sick of the virginal heroine trope that we so often see in mafia books, and was pleasantly surprised that this book had none of that.

I'm a HUGE moron!
Not for reading this book, but for not realizing that there are family trees at the end of the book.
This book is a duet, but it's also part of the Mazzone world. It's not necessary to read the other books first, and I haven't, BUT there are a lot of side characters and I struggled so much that I wanted to SOFT DNF the book til I read the other books.
I loved Joshua and Gia so much but the struggle with not understanding who is who made it difficult for me to follow the storyline 😭
Then I got the hint of the family trees. Yes, it's in an author's at the beginning, and I don't know why I haven't read this sentence 🙈
I checked them and it all made so much sense then 🤩
I not only continued reading it, I DEVOURED it 😎
Enough about me being a moron and more about the book!
The book is SO good.
The chemistry between Joshua and Gia is so special. They've known each other forever, but Joshua being 4 years older let them have different friend circles.
Yes, I hated his ex-girlfriend for what she did to him, but hey at least he got free for Gia, right? 😉
Joshua is such a softie, please don't tell him I said that 😎 He cares so much for Gia and is very afraid that he put her on this job.
But Gia is a really tough woman. A strong woman who doesn't need a man to protect her, right?
I also loved the strong connection Joshua and Caleb have. They will go through 🔥 for each other. I'm so excited to read Caleb's book right away.
I read the book(s) in the new duet bundle that will be released soon.
Why should you read this bundle? Because it has exclusive bonus content 🤩

This has been one of my most anticipated releases since Siobhan originally announced the Accardi Twin duet. Cold King of New York is Joshua Accardi’s book. He’s cold, standoffish, and calculating. He, along with his twin Caleb, are the Dons of the Accardi family. They also are the CEOs and faces of their clothing brand. Burned by his ex, he no longer believes in love and keeps his relationships transactional. At least until Gia storms into his life again. Joshua has only ever seen Gia as a little girl given their slight age difference until Gia is hired to go undercover for the families. The chemistry burns hot between these two from the very beginning. Joshua stood no chance against Gia, but it was fun watching him try to fight their connection.
This story is action packed and full of lies and deceit. We get plenty of cameos from our past favorites within Siobhan’s mafia world. I’m so ready to dive into Caleb’s book after that ending!

Being back in this world is something I have been waiting forever for. I love all of these families and character. This is the experience that I always want from this author because it drags me into the story and does not let me go. This ending leaves me thankful that the next books is releaseing at the same time. I love J and G. They are perfect for each other from the start. The twists and turns and emotions that come with this are the recipie for a perfect story.
