EXCELLENT book that really explores how grief might work and how everyone grieves differently. Also wonderful sibling relationship dynamics. High key would recommend to middle school students, especially those looking for contemporary/realist novels.

Oh, what a beautiful, amazing wonderful book. Generally, books like this make me very sad and I want to put them away very quickly, but I did not want this one to end. I fell I love with dear Kitty and her little circle (even cranky teen Imogen, who was very hard to love). I loved the depth of Kitty’s character and how much she as the book progressed. If you are looking for a book to help a reader overcome some very difficult challenges and sadness in life, this is the book for you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. This is a tearjerker, following Kitty as she loses her mom at ten to moving from London to New York City at twelve. In between, she, along with her father and sister, process their grief, are supported by her grandmother and their neighbor, briefly make a move to NYC, attend therapy, and realize that grief is like glitter - it’s everywhere and you really can’t get rid of it. Hand to readers in grades 5-8.

Sometimes you just need to read a kid book - refreshingly simple and tear jerking. Loved this one!

this was nothing like i expected, and somehow even better. it wasn't centralised around the romance and i loved that we got to see more of kitty's story and her character growth instead of focusing so much on the love story, although henry was definitely the best hehe. it's different from all the usual contemporary i read and the author's writing style is really unique i love it so much

Kitty is struggling to come to terms with her mom's death when her dad announces they will be moving to New York City from their home in London. Her older sister seems excited at the prospect of an adventure, but Kitty worries her memories of her mom won't be able to follow her. Glitter Gets Everywhere is a beautiful story of one girl's journey through grief. I found myself grieving right along with Kitty, but there were also laugh-out-loud moments, and times I wanted to stand up and cheer for this strong, funny, oh-so-real main character. I highly recommend this beautiful book!
