Kind of boring. Mostly unlikeable characters. The only character worth knowing was not really explored at all.

I really don't like the characters here... They are dense and unbelievable

This book was pretty awful. Liz was really unlikable, and I just could not get into the story. I'm glad I got this one from the library!

Usually a big Kinsella/Wickham fan for light reads, but this was disappointing.

Review - This book can be a bit confusing at times. I prefer Madeleine Wickham writing as Sophie Kinsella, if I'm honest. Her books are more serious writing as Wickham and I prefer her funny tone writing as Kinsella. However, this book is well-written and there are some funny moments, though not as many as in her Shopaholic series. There are almost too many characters in this book, and I did get confused at the beginning, but it begins to make sense towards the end once you've been reading it for a while.

Every once in a while I really enjoy just a story about normal people doing normal things. I mean, these people buy a business, move, have an affair - so it's not completely business as usual, but it did feel like the author just plucked a chunk of time from these people's lives for us to have a look into. It was a fun, easy, light-hearted read.
