It takes a ton to make me laugh out loud. This book managed it. Repeatedly.

I just love how Evanovich makes these completely absurd situations somehow seem believable with Stephanie Plum. I laughed out loud several time. A great book to relax with!

This time around Stephanie Plum is looking for another skip...who happens to be Ranger. She gets into her usual mishaps, although this time when her car gets blown up it really wasn't her fault. Grandma Mazur moves in, and Stephanie picks up a few new sidekicks for book six. Could have used more Grandma Mazur and Morelli, but overall another fun read.

Picks up right where Five left off …
Early in, Stephanie’s got an FTA with a brick in her car, so we’re off to the usual sort of start.
Ranger’s out on bond this time, and missing of course.
Stephanie’s got some baddies after her … again.
On a personal note: Joe proposes.
4 stars.
Audio:
The same narrator as the past several is on this one. She’s okay. Voice is pleasant enough, pretty much has the Jersey accent down.

There was a lot going on in this book and it was difficult at times to remember which bad guy was which, though I did giggle at the guy named Macaroni. Stephanie finds herself in a mess again. She is trying to bring down an FTA who is crazy and killed his ex-wife, who he thinks Stephanie vaguely resembles. Ranger is FTA and Vinnie wants her to find him, even though she knows she can't and isn't sure she wants to anyway. Joyce Barnhardt is also hanging around Vinnie again and wants to find Ranger herself. Grandma Mazur moves in with her because of a problem with her father. She and Joe want to enjoy some time together, but Grandma is living there. Ranger drafts Stephanie to help with some survelance and she ends up getting shot at. A police officer she owed a favor to sticks her with a big dog who has no self-control when it comes to food. Two thugs are following her around hoping that she'll lead them to Ranger. Her car gets destroyed by the crazy FTA. Just another week in the life of Stephanie Plum, ace bounty hunter.

I loved this one! I felt more engaged in the story than I have in some past books. Ranger is such a mystery and the sexual tension between him and Stephanie has certainly increased now that Stephanie is more or less in a relationship with Morelli. Dare I say it, Stephanie is *almost* starting to seem like she is getting just a little bit good at her job. But I know there are lots more adventures in her future!

This is a really enjoyable installment to the Stephanie Plum series.
I really loved the addition of the dog Bob to the story. I can't wait to see more of him in future books.
I also really really enjoyed where the romance is going in this installment!!!
Looking forward to picking up the next installment in this series.
