There is a lot to unpack here.

This book contains so many triggers, so before reading PLEASE consider them all. I understand why some readers find it extremely difficult and even DNFed it.

The reason why I personally find the book a "4 ⭐" interesting is the physiological approach and understanding of both FMC and MMC. Although most readers will describe the book as a dark romance or even a smut book, I find it more almost like a textbook for a lot of neurodivergent personalities, and mental issues. From the sociological and anthropological side, I'm impressed with the way the author described social media and the false perception it offers to society (and mostly to teens and young adults).

I will continue reading the series as I'm wondering if the author will continue with the same approach (discussing mental health as one of the most important issues of modern society).

Tropes:
Enemies to lovers
College
Inexperienced, stubborn and fierce FMC
Psychopath and obsessed MMC
Secret societies (along with mafia vibes)
He falls first and hard
The banter is pretty great with the famous English sarcasm 🥰

I like this audiobook, the narration is performed in dual by Sebastian York, Josie Minor, Aaron Shedlock, Wen Ross and Kylie Stewart.

My only issue with the book is the 2nd chapter and how it is treated all along the book.
It is basically SA and a particularly degrading one, it made me really uncomfortable, also because it is romanticized all along the book and no it is not.

Glyndon has been a shy, keep to herself, never throw commotion to the ocean type girl for awhile now. Recently having gone through some trauma and going back to college she finds herself wrapped up in trouble… though she might find herself being surprised but how much she really liked trouble all along.
Killian doesn’t value much, besides seeing someone’s insides on the outside. But once he laid eyes on her he wasn’t going to let her go no matter the cost.

I REALLY enjoyed this book, I felt like the characters were thoroughly enjoyable even when I was looking at Glyndon like “bitch wtf are you doing” and screaming at Killian like no other. And don’t forget the eye rolling. I think my eyes are strained honestly. They really came to life from the pages and I enjoyed them. The plot was also good THE TWISTS AND TURNS. I was shook. I was like oh okay I know what’s gonna happen and then literally was SHOCKED LIKE WHAT!? As this being my first book by Rina I was impressed and excited to read God of Pain

The only thing that kinda kept this from being higher rating was that some parts felt rushed and other parts felt like the went on for an unnecessary amount of time. alone with that I felt some of the writing could’ve a bit more work — really just related to the rushing feeling — but besides that I really loved this book!

⭐️ 3.75/5
🌶️ 2.5/5 — could’ve used more cause I’m greedy and need to see them FRACKIN

I’ve been wanting to read this series for over a year and now I finally got to it and I’m not disappointed this book was pretty good I loved how possessive and jealous Killian was over Glyndon and how he only had eyes for her I’m already loving how this series shows the couples from the next books in this one I loved every scene with Killian and Glyndon I didn’t get bored and the spicy scenes were very good I’m excited to see the other couples stories so this book is happy ending with no cliffhangers no love triangles or cheating it’s spicy and this book is Good Girl x Bad Boy, and Enemies to lovers overall I rated this book 4 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mehh. This book was kinda cringe. I didn’t hate it and found it as an easy read, but some parts of this book made me gag lmao.

I decided to read a new author. Someone whose work I was curious about for two years. That author is Rina Kent. The book that I read is God of Malice. Dark Romance is a genre that has had me in a chokehold for a year. My motto is as long as it has a good story I’m game. God of Malice has a really good story. I thought that I knew what to expect and then I read the first chapter. My jaw dropped and pretty much remained on the floor. Killian Carson is different that’s all I will say. He is a true psychopath. Glyndon King got exactly what she wanted and then some. She enjoyed the ride literally. I never imagined that I would read a story where a psychopath would truly fall in love but there’s a first time for everything.

The fact that this book is apart of a series but a standalone story is intriguing. Glyndon and Killian’s love scenes reach a gray area that some may find difficult to stomach. Their love scenes are extremely spicy. My curiosity got the best of me because I wanted to know exactly how the story would end. All of the secondary and side characters were two dimensional. I’m looking forward reading the other books in the Legacy of the God’s series.
