DNFed at 26% or page 116 (on KU). The scenes in the book are a bit choppy. For an example, the main characters are doing something then they are suddenly in a different setting or they are talking about something completely different. The writing is juvenile and the first book pretty much introduces everyone but the background of the main two characters? I am also a bit lost with what the point of the book is, and I’ve enjoyed books that are all vibes and no plot. I didn’t mind the dark aspect but wish the writing was a bit better.

This book could have been so much better without the rape scene. They destroyed the hole story. Killian wasn't likeable enough to make up for that....

I finally have started the Legacy of Gods series by Rina Kent and this was a great intro into the series. My perfect level of dark romance, humor, and good dialogue. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is that I didn’t really care for the parent chapters and the ending felt very rushed and shoved in there. I know that the parents have their own books but as of right now, I don’t care to read them and I don’t care to have chapters that are trying to make you care for the parents who are not the focus of the book.
