Could just be me, but honestly didn’t feel all the hype from this book. It was definitely good, but a little overhyped.

OK for me this book started out really slow. It wasn’t until about a third into it that I actually started to enjoy it. But I ended up really loving this book. To be honest. I felt very juvenile in the beginning, but it got better. I definitely think I’m gonna continue with the series and see where it goes

This book could have been so much better without the rape scene. They destroyed the hole story. Killian wasn't likeable enough to make up for that....

This was such a guilty pleasure kind of fun read, I enjoyed the book a lot more than I thought I would. The themes are dark, the characters are all at least a little twisted and it invites some valuable discussions regarding kink and consent. It's definitely the kind of book you need to read the trigger warnings for and appreciate in the context of dark romance as it toes the line between romanticisation of abuse and exploration of kink. I do think this was a lot better handled than in other more popular dark romance books such as Haunting Adeline.

I loved all the characters, they were fun and had their distinct personalities, which is a great feat considering the number of side characters and the fact that not all of them get a lot of scenes. I'm interested to see the other stories from the series so I can get more of them. Glyndon and Killian's relationship was peak "attracted to toxic men" that can only exist when you're young and don't know how to protect your heart from that.

The plot was interesting enough to keep me hooked till the end, and it was well-paced with the romance. There were some grammatical errors, but nothing too glaring.

Dark, intense flawed young man, innocent depressed young woman, toxic apart but fix all the damage for each other.

I read a review a long time ago. The reviewer pointed out that the more someone needs to say they are something the less they are what they claim to be.

Killian going on and on about he is this and that was boring. I don't know if it’s great writing showing how he strokes his own ego or bad writing of “tell don't show”.
