Talon is a delightfully sweet and mostly low drama story that celebrates the beauty of instalove. Full of endearing characters, low angsty chemistry, and a sweet and sexy romantic journey, this book had me smiling front he very first meet cute all the way to the charming HEA. Sometimes you need a love story that isn’t dripping in angst or over the top drama- a love story that isn’t scared to be just that- a look at the gradual trust building and meaningful connection of two people who have a spark- and Aurora delivers.

Our heroine Mia dropped her entire life and has returned to her hometown in beautiful Tennessee to support her sister who has discovered her hubby is a cheater. She’s working at a car dealership, trying to figure out her new TN life, when a literal tornado upends her world- introducing her to the delicious Talon. The Aurora Rose Reynolds BOOM- the moment two hearts are forever bound. They are instantly drawn to each other- Talon is refreshingly all in, but Mia has baggage. Her trust is not given freely, especially to men- not only because of her sister’s lived experience but because of parts of her past. Charming Talon is committed to making it work, to getting her to open up and let him into her heart, even as aspects of their past- both tangible and non- that threaten their new relationship.

I just love Aurora Rose Reynold’s leading men- she makes these yummy bossy alpha guys who don’t ever back down from what they want, but they are also incredibly intuitive and patient- devoted and thoughtful partners. It really is the perfect package, and Talon is no exception. He gave me ALL the swoons. He’s an alpha man, but he’s gentle and understanding with Mia- he’s attentive to what she needs above all else. I loved watching Mia find the bravery to trust, to lean into their connection- and together, they were just so incredibly adorable. Their romance is just HEALTHY and loving. Love comes unexpectedly, even even if you don’t want it. But, you need it- like they needed each other. Outside of this we have some interesting suspense, and I’m definitely curious to know more about Mia’s sister and what’s next in her journey.

I’m newer to this author and this fabulous series (this can be read as a standalone even though characters from prior books are part of the story)- but I just love what she’s doing here. Building this really sweet, feel good, super sexy and swoon worthy love stories around that powerful single moment….maybe not even a moment, an intuition, a feeling, an experience. The BOOM- when your heart jolts, it knows it could now beat for someone else, long before your mind has caught up to it. Those kinds of stories, the moments when something within you changes because of recognizing something in another- that spark that starts a love story, that is one of my favorite parts of reading romance, and Aurora does it justice will giving me all the happy, swoony feelings.

Another book in the Until series with the same ingredients.
I loved this serie since it started with "Until November", I'm always waiting for the next one, it has become a sure part of my TBR each year or whenever I found out that a new "Until" will be published. I love Aurora Rose Reynolds and I've read most of her books and I don't know why but it became really a must to read and follow the Mayson family.
After finishing "Until Talon", I can't say that it is one of my favorite. I just can say that it was nice, yes that's all I can say. I hope the next one will be better and more interesting.

Thoughts:
Spoiler Barely got to know either Talon or Mia, the conflict was nothing to do with either of them. There was so much nothingness in this book, bits of his family to make old readers happy, no real plot or character building

I very much enjoyed this one but the mystery/drama felt a bit forced. I'm not sure how necessary it was. I also am hoping the book for Mia's sister is coming very soon, because a lot of time was spent on her and I really want to see her story!

Mia moves from Montana to live with her sister and nieces who have just had their world rocked. While trying to help be the rock that her sister needs during this difficult time with her divorce, the whole town gets hit with a tornado and Mia's saviour is no other than the smouldering Talon Mason.

Everyone knows that when a Mason starts to fall, they fall hard and that's no different for Talon. He jumps headfirst into his relationship with Mia and she doesn't put up much of a fight.

I love Aurora Rose Reynolds easy and heated romances. She's one of the few authors I can read with insta-love because it is definitely not my favourite trope. At. All. The only thing that always knocks down the stars is how quick everything wraps up, especially with the conflict scene. I also never expected that conflict scene at all and it was completely unexpected and extreme, which is probably why I gave it 3 stars because it was just too extreme. I still really enjoy the series and will continue to pick up the rest of the series but Aurora is my guilty pleasure.
