The illustrations are windy and wonderful. Little Flora learns a very big lesson about how she feels about her little brother while floating along in the wind.

LOVED the whimsical illustrations - will have to check out more by Matt Phelan.

Fantastic story about the highs and lows of the relationship between a brother & sister.

I enjoyed the story of how an older sister changes in her attitude toward her younger brother. However, I'm not sure it is one of one hundred. 3 & 1/2 until I take another look.

I really enjoyed the story and especially the illustrations. Flora is upset with her baby brother for messing things up, and like all older siblings come to feel at one moment or another, she would like to be rid of him. Her mother sends Flora and her brother outside where the wind scoops up her brother. What's a girl to do? This is a very sweet story.

Little sibs. Can't live with 'em...can't live without 'em. This imaginative story will appeal to anyone who's ever imagined the wind picking them right up off the ground!

A fun little tale about a little girl getting sucked into the wind to save her little brother. They meet many creatures of the sky until the wind finally lets them go home.

Sweet, fun book with great illustrations. Received three "again, again!"s from my daughter.

What older sister (or brother) hasn't wished that little brother (or sister) would just disappear for a bit? That's what happens when Flora and her little brother go outside one afternoon. Swept up on a VERY windy day, little brother blows away, and Flora feels obliged to keep up with him and get him home safely. Along the way she gets various offers to keep him up there: as a raindrop squeezer or a bird's egg protector, but she finds herself more and more determined to get him home safely.

The winning element here is the combination of Phelan's breezy and expressive drawings and Birdsall's spot-on tone. Flora is perfectly indignant when brother spills her paints and fiercely protective when he's propositioned by a hungry eagle. Loved this from start to finish.

Like many siblings, Flora gets very annoyed with her younger brother, Crispin. One day, after Crispin spills Flora's paints, mom sends Flora and Crispin outside and Flora is ready to get rid of her brother once and for all. A mighty wind whips up and Crispin begins to take off. Rather than let him fly off by himself, Flora goes on an adventure where she gets many opportunities to say goodbye to Crispin for good. Surprisingly, Flora chooses to keep Crispin and bring him back home each time. Sweet little book about the complications of siblings but the power of love surpasses all.

Flora's younger brother is bothersome and she hopes the wind will carry him away one day when the go out to play. Sure enough, the wind whisks him away, but Flora feels bad and decides to follow him. The wind tries to find a place for her brother, but Flora ends up talking the wind into letting her brother return home with her.

Cute story. Recommended ages 4-7.
