Fourth Wing

Ummm, wow! This book was amazing! Why did I wait so long to read it???

Rebecca Yarros spins a captivating tale about a Dragon War College (Basgiath) and an apparent underdog that surprises the reader at every turn! We meet Violet, who truly wants to be a Scribe, but her military mother forces her to enter the Dragon Quadrant instead. Violet has to pass a challenge that could easily end her life JUST to get into the college… no books or record keeping for her. She will have to learn how to fly on a dragon.

The entire book is filled with twists and turns, yet, it mixes with a strong and coherent story line. I never wanted to set this book down!

Do you like fantasy novels? Do you like a lot of action and/or adventure? What about dragons? If you answered yes to any of these questions you should read this book!

Loved everything about the book. I have no complaints about the writing, plot, characters, nada. The writing was easy to read, though the locations were a little hard to understand (though my fault for not studying the map more), I found it pleasurable. The plot and description were both good, leaving the readers wanting more and were well given more by the end of the book. The tension with the characters, especially between Xaden and Violet, gave the book more life. Seeing their raw emotions and it being described through Violet was amazing. Overall, I enjoyed every bit of it and didn't know how to put the book down.

Whenever I read a fantasy novel, I disconnect from the perspective of reality, that's the essence of fantasy novels. This one right here made me not only hungry for more in their world but also made me want to live in it knowing fully that Gaunlet would take me out if not paraphet. HAHAHAH

This has been the reaction I crave since Idris, from Mortal Instrument series.

I love the world building, the characters, their weakness and strenght. I lovevthe bonds between dragons and the idea of getting one. I want a dragon now. 😆
