Fourth Wing at times can feel familiar, as is par for the course with new adult fantasy, but the stakes feel higher as Rebecca Yarros introduces us to the world of Navarre and The Empyrean. The story is plot driven with characters that I felt attached to and cried and cheered for. Overall a fun read despite the cliches that are in romantasy books. This is my new ACOTAR 🖤

Reading this book in graphic audio was the best thing ever!! I don’t think I can ever read it any other way!! Not only do you get to read the emotions of the characters, but you get to hear them too! Everything is more impactful in graphic audio; from the fights, to the smutty scenes, to the very sad moment at the end that destroys us all! I love everything about it!!

Man oh man, what to say. For starters, the reason I even thought of reading this, as I don't buy into super popular reads, is a friend of mine described it in this way: "The Hunger Games...but with dragons." Sold. Immediately sold. From the intricate world building, to the political intrigue, and of course, the love story, this book had its claws in me the entire time. I stopped reading all my other books to keep in this one. The character development was second to none and I thoroughly enjoy when an author's words have me laugh, cheer, and cry alongside the story. This entire concept is brilliant and I am very anxious to keep diving into this. Well done.
