The audio narrators were better than most I have heard recently. Great job.
The story was sweet and romantic. I also love stories with big families with fun banter. It is also the first book in awhile where the characters were not disappointing. Great palate cleanser with a few smexy times. Worth the read.

Once again Layla Hagen has totally outdone herself. I received an ARC copy & can not say enough wonderful things about this book. I absolutely LOVED the start of this new series & know each one will be as equally AWESOME!! Landon & Maddie are amazing!! Don't wait......buy this book at your first chance. You will NOT be disappointed :)

This was such a sweet book! One of the main reasons I love this author and particularly this series (even though it's a spin off) is that there is no love triangles or angst relationship wise. At least not with the typical "are they going to cheat?" or "is something stupid going to split them up?"
Landon Connor was previously married and now widowed. He thinks that he doesn't have it in him to love again and certainly doesn't want to risk losing someone else. But when he meets Maddie those plans are pretty much shot.
Maddie is a landscaper and loves her job. She has closed off her heart for the time being having given up her life to move to a new city only to have her relationship end badly. She wants to focus on her company and gaining more clients. But of course Landon gives her a little distraction, in a good way!
While Landon is in LA on vacation they get to know each other and decide to have a little fling but it evolves into more. Neither wanted or expected it but they embraced it. These two characters are pretty much perfect for each other and everyone around them knows it. They also make sure to tell Landon any chance they get.
I enjoyed this book as much as any of the others, so far Landon is my favorite Connor.... Helps that this is only the first in this series ;)
