Omg this was so good. I don’t even have enough words to describe it. This is now one of my top friends to lovers book. I loved Ash and Sadie’s chemistry and banter. I’m a sucker for that. The s3xual tension was insane. Spice was really good. 4/5 in spice. I highly recommend this book. I couldn’t put it down and read it in one day.

A light fun read. Sadie was annoying with how she let everyone walk all over her. Ashton turned out to be really sweet. I love alpha males. An okay book.

This book had SO MUCH going on!

Just to name a few:
-Friends to Lovers
-BDSM
-Crazy Ex Drama
-Forced Engagement
-Parents Meddling
-Cheating Ex
-Pregnancy Scandal

Personally, I finished in one sitting. Ashton & Sadie's story was a whirlwind mess but I loved it!

Characters are shallow and one-dimensional; male protagonist is seriously toxic (and we’re supposed to be rooting for him?); smut is sub-par at best.
The male protagonist gaslights the female protagonist when she tries to assert that his getting another woman pregnant is a dealbreaker for her, then lies to his child’s mother by agreeing to a relationship with her just so she won’t get an abortion, all the while planning to abandon her once she’s past the point she can safely abort so he can pursue the female protagonist. He routinely manipulates the female protagonist in order to breach her boundaries. He’s trash.

This was the worst of the 45 books I’ve read this year. Between the multiple moments of dubious consent, fetishizing of virginity, and the “I’ll just pretend to be with my baby momma long enough so she can’t have an abortion” this book was problematic from start to finish. The main character was an absolute push over and the main guy was unnecessarily aggressive with his “you can’t say no to me” bullshit. Finally, the third act break up took ages to resolve. Oooof def wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
