Well-documented history of exorcism - defined broadly- in the Church of England, with some notice of it in other groups and elsewhere in the British Empire. The author shows how the modern revival of the practice draws from both Anglo-Catholic and charismatic roots and has little (but not no) precedence before the 1960s.
