This was an amazing thriller. The ending was the most satisfying thing I’ve ever read. Highly recommended!

A podcast/main character storytelling style that allows you to question what is true as the plot develops. Some romantic (and not so romantic) moments that unravel relationships and explore complicated mixed up feelings. The Texas small town setting perfectly contributed to the covering up of facts and putting on a face when there is rot underneath.

Overall I found it a page turner although admittedly the ending fell a bit flat for me as there was not full resolution.

Very interesting read to start off the year!  While I ended up reading most of it, the audio version had a male narrator for the podcast versions, which was a really nice touch.

I thought it was surprisingly funny amid all of the heavy content.  Definitely would read more by the author!

Did Lucy kill Savvy?  If she did, why doesn’t she remember the events of that night?  These questions and their answers propel the podcast that draws Lucy back to her small Texas hometown.  The gossipy vibes of the small town were perfection.  Lucy’s sassy, southern grandma was a well-written side character.

Personally, I have not read many mystery/thrillers with the amnesia trope.  I think I am undecided on if I am a fan of it or not. The young guy having sex with so many people in town was a bit over exaggerated.

When I got into the nitty gritty of this and realized it was another murder podcast book, I thought it would be just that. I was happily mistaken!! I found myself NEEDING to listen to more as the story progressed, waiting for the truth to be revealed. I loved the parallel of learning about Past Lucy and Current Lucy, and I have high hopes for Future Lucy!

I really loved this book! I flew through it and loved the true-crime podcast woven into the story. Lucy's dry sense of humor is a favorite part of this story, along with mine. I also like the relationship between Lucy and Ben. It's a really great, fast read!
