I really liked this most of the way through, in spite of significant sex and language, but the ending was so out of left field and left so many threads hanging that I just was super annoyed.

The audio book was so good! There was so many twists that kept me guessing until the end.

I really thought I was going to like this one more than I did. A podcast, a mystery murder and a main character that doesn't remember anything. Sounds like a winner but unfortunately no for me. The writing was well done but I just could not connect with any of the characters, especially Lucy. I could not handle the snarkiness or the decisions she was making.
The pacing of the storyline was off too. There just was not much happening besides the podcast interviewing and Lucy trying to remember what happened the night of Savvy's murder. And seriously, we get how hot it is in Texas. I don't think we need to be reminded as frequently as we were!

I did listen to this on audio instead of reading the ebook version. The narration was fabulous! January Lavoy and Will Damron did a fantastic job of reading a large amount of characters (some of which I got mixed up at times).
I also did not expect the outcome. I was completely surprised by the "whodunnit"! I seriously thought it was  someone else!

Overall it was a three star for me. I was happy to have read it!

Thanks to Celadon and Netgalley for the opportunity!

Review: This was SO. MUCH. FUN. I've heard the audio is absolutely fantastic, although I read it via ebook - and honestly? It might even be worth a re-read via audio, that's how much I enjoyed it! I was genuinely surprised multiple times throughout the book, and I loved the way it played with how we view those around us, and how that interpretation can change depending on other information we're given. And Lucy's grandmother? LOVED HER. I will definitely be on the lookout for more thriller/mystery books from Amy Tintera!

I surprisingly really liked this. The dialogue was pretty natural & while I was pretty sure who the murderer was the story kept me second guessing myself.

I loved reading this book and I think the storyline was so good. I will say, however, that my favorite thing about this book is the unreliable narrator. Do I know if the ending is what really happened? No I don’t, and the fact that I don’t know makes this book so much better in my eyes.

Sarcastic main character, cold case in a small Texas town, amnesia, and a  grandma that gets around… what’s not to like.
