This book goes fast throws world building at you super fast and then after the main conflict is over wraps up quickly. Yes it's the first of it's series and the second series in this author's world but it felt like a fanfiction one shot where you know all the players so lets just get down to the nitty gritty which as a person coming into this world as a first book is not good. It gave me no time to get attached to the characters.
